I keep the misfits…Sometimes they end up being the best ones…Sometimes not…
this was a sketch of several cars that Joseph did, which I stole & turned into a painting…I don’t usually sign on the front, which I find detracts from the subject, so I ended up keeping this instead of selling it…Front hall-ish area…
This was an accidentally erotic painting that I covered over for a gallery show, but then I decided that somehow since I knew the underpainting was erotic that I should still censor it…Bedroom wall…
the dragonfly wall sculpture is on our wall because, well, since it is a totally new idea, I have to make sure that it is relatively safe…The copper strapping is quite sharp & I think I will probably have to resolve that somehow, like covering the edges with apoxie sculpt, before someone ends up cutting themselves…
One of Joseph’s early works…I thought it was pretty & kept it…
The grape…Still working on this one I think…Gee, had no idea getting a spherical shape was going to be so hard…Copper strapping needs to be covered on this one too…
This was from a series I did in 2001…They were watercolours & either oil pastel or watersoluble crayon…This one was for a ballet remake of Swan Lake by the National Ballet of Canada…Later, I realized that maybe it was also a man’s private parts, if you look from far away…Kept it…
Joseph did some giclees a long time ago…This one was called Remembrance Day…One day in anger he ripped it apart…I velcroed it back together & kept it…It is actually more appropriate now, with the rips…
From my solo show the Marsh series in 1999…I kept one, for the memories…
This watercolour from 2001 was in honour of my sister-in-law’s giving birth to her two children…I guess I will give it to her someday…
