Grove Body Part Chart 2013

Preamble: Ok, after much trying (not excessive trying, just a little trying), I was unable to embed the Calameo version of the book Grove Body Part Chart 2013, here on WordPress.com…It involves actually changing the embed code itself, which, though I tried to do while following instructions, was not able to succeed at doing…So I am providing a link instead to the online document which can be read like a book or magazine…Calameo offers a free service that does this for you from your PDF files…So there it is…If anyone wants to create the correct code for me to use on WordPress.com to embed the book directly here, I will use it…Just stick it in the Comments…

memorial“Memorial” a 3d Render by Sari Grove using Blender 3d animation software…

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00CDAPYTC?ref_= here is the book The Grove Body Part Chart 2013 on Amazon available for around 3 dollars as a Kindle download…

Below is another lesson for Blender 3d animation: version 2.66a of the free software program (yes it’s free!)…This shows about Rigid Body Dynamics…(not what it sounds like unfortunately, but still very cool!) 🙂

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZqued0lqx0 (cube& ball video)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zi6MxMM09Ek (beginner clockwork video)
So this took me a while to grasp…I watched the first video, & got the hang of it, but I could not figure out how to record my animation…Finally I found the second video, which
thankfully explains at the end to go to the Game Engine, click Record Animation in the drop down menu, & then click Automatic recording in the keyframe area…This was a big deal for me because though I had grasped the basics of how to get the cube & the ball going, the recording part was not intuitive…(Go Figure!)…Oh & don’t forget to click the box beside Animated in the Particle Physics area…
here are my own notes from both videos:
add cube, add sphere (in Object Mode)…Make the cube Passive(select cube then select the word Passive), make the sphere active(select sphere, press Active) (see far left panel)…In the Particle Physics Panel (far right), Select Cube First, then click Rigid Body Constraints…Scroll down to Rigid Body Constraint section there-In Object 1 choose the cube, in Object 2 section, choose the Sphere (dropdown menus)…Change the Type from Fixed to POINT…
Ok, don’t forget to click the checkbox Animated while there…
Now if you hit Play & grab the cube the ball will bounce around with it…
Ok, now go to Game Engine…Click Record Animation from the dropdown menu…
Click Automatic recording in the Keyframe section…
Now hit Play & make that Cube dance around!
It will record all 250 frames unless before you start recording you lessen the number of total frames of the reel…
You can add materials…I added a Bump Map texture on a plane…(The Bump Map texture is just, add a new material for the plane, add a new texture, choose Image or Movie in the drop down, select your image file texture, UNCLICK Colour, & CLICK NORMAL…This takes away the colour of your texture & the Normal part makes it groove into so it looks cool & deep…)
Notes also: Open a second window up & have that in UV View so when you render an image you can check what it all looks like first…
Garageband has loops in it that you can throw into your animations for sound effects easily…
SimpleMovie makes it easy to loop your reel a few times so it is longer…
Ok that’s all I know for now…This is my second week in Blender 2.66a, so these notes are as much for me to read back as to help others too…Thank you so much to the two whose videos I watched for this…I really appreciate your tutorials! Sari
